The Sonora State Attorney General’s Office (FGJES) reported the arrest of the partner of the mother of the three minors murdered at the Miguel Alemán Police Station in Hermosillo.
“The investigating police have arrested the romantic partner of the mother of the three minors, who is fully involved in the events,” the Prosecutor’s Office reported.
According to information provided by the FGJES, the detainee is involved in drug distribution and has ties to a criminal organization operating in Hermosillo.
Experts from the FGJES have carried out and continue to carry out the corresponding opinions on the scientific evidence collected, with the aim of corroborating the facts and integrating them firmly into the investigation file.
The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sonora reaffirmed its commitment to the victims and to the people of Sonora, assuring them that it will continue to report on the progress of the case as time permits, seeking to provide full transparency regarding this unfortunate event that has caused great distress in the community.
The tragic events that shocked the community came to light on Saturday afternoon, when the bodies of three girls were discovered on Highway 36 North, at the Miguel Alemán police station. The day before, a woman had been found dead at the Hermosillo-Bahía de Kino interchange.
The Sonora Prosecutor’s Office confirmed this Sunday that the victims were from the same family: a 28-year-old mother and her three daughters, ages 9 and 11 (the latter twins). Although authorities did not reveal their names, this confirms the family relationship.
