A little girl of one year and eight months

A young married couple who worked in the fields, forcing them to leave their little girl, barely one year and eight months old, in the care of a 21-year-old neighbor, suffered the worst tragedy of their lives when they lost their daughter to choking.

The incident occurred in the Los Jazmines sector of the Huaura district, Lima, Peru, where the couple had their home and to cover their expenses they had to go out to look for sustenance in the countryside, where they could not take their little daughter due to the prevailing cold of these days.

While eating her potato and egg breakfast, served by the caregiver, the girl choked and no one knew how to help her, so the young woman went out to look for help on the street, but when she arrived with another neighbor, they noticed that the little girl’s eyes had already turned white.

She was immediately taken to the Centro Materno del Socorro, but it was too late; the doctors only certified that she had arrived dead.

The mother arrived desperate and could only portray scenes of despair and pain, lamenting that this had happened to her because she had to work.
