In the last few hours, a tragic incident was reported in Pereira, Risaralda Province, Colombia, where the lifeless body of Ángela Viviana González Trejos, 32, was found.
Details of the find
Angela’s body was found in a forest near River Avenue, with her hands and feet tied, and with obvious signs of physical and sexual abuse.
The discovery was made by a passerby who, upon discovering the scene, immediately notified the authorities. Another witness reported hearing screams in the area, although the severity of the incident was unknown at the time.

Ongoing investigations
At the scene, authorities found only two items of clothing and cords that, according to initial investigations, could have been used to suffocate the victim.
The woman’s identity was confirmed by the Forensic Laboratory, revealing that she was originally from and a resident of Risaralda, the capital.
The investigation is being led by Colonel Alexandra Díaz, commander of the Pereira Police, who stated that efforts are focused on clarifying the details and finding those responsible for this atrocious act.
