Ceará, Brazil. The body of 36-year-old
Gilson Ferreira de Moura was found dismembered last Thursday, June 26, 2025, in a rural area of the municipality of São Luís do Curu, in the Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza.
Gilson had been a former guardianship counselor and worker at the Ministry of Public Works in the nearby city of Uruburetama.
The victim had disappeared on Wednesday, June 25, after leaving work. Her relatives, puzzled by her absence, alerted the police.
The next day, the body was found without hands or feet, and with a
padlock holding its lips , an image that has deeply shocked the residents of the region.
Gilson lived in Uruburetama, approximately 33 kilometers from where he was found. His funeral took place on Friday, June 27, amid great sadness.
The Civil Police have launched an investigation into the crime and are working on the hypothesis of an execution. However, to date, there is no information regarding the perpetrator or possible motive behind this brutal homicide.
