The bride shook her head rapidly, panic flashing across her face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bride\u2019s bouquet slipped from her fingers and hit the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPlease. I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He looked down at the mud on his daughters\u2019 faces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At their trembling hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the fear still lingering in their eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then he took off his wedding ring and let it fall onto the aisle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The younger girl reached up and touched his cheek with muddy fingers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
