A tragedy struck the community of the San Rafael neighborhood in the Cuauhtémoc borough this afternoon when an 18-year-old woman died suddenly while having sex with her partner. According to the preliminary report from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC), the incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. inside an apartment located on Miguel E. Schultz Street. The 21-year-old man accompanying the victim called 911, stating that his partner “suddenly fainted” and stopped breathing while they were having sex.
Capital police officers along with ERUM paramedics arrived at the scene and confirmed that the young woman was no longer showing vital signs upon arrival. Despite resuscitative efforts, her death was officially declared at the scene.
The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office has opened an investigation into a suspicious death, although no arrests have been made so far. The young man, in a state of shock, has cooperated with authorities and remains in protective custody while his formal statement is being taken.
