Manacapuru, Amazonas, Brazil. A woman, popularly known as “Ligeirinha,” was attacked by a group of residents after allegedly being caught committing a theft in a rural area of Manacapuru, in the interior of the state of Amazonas.
The incident, which occurred this week, was captured on video and has circulated on social media.
In the footage, the woman is seen surrounded by the crowd as she pleads not to be beaten. Despite her pleas, she is hit with punches, kicks, and attacks with a piece of wood, mainly on her legs and arms.
After the attack, he managed to free himself and ran away from the scene.
So far, there is no official information on whether the woman received medical attention following the incident, nor whether any of the attackers have been identified or arrested by authorities.
