They were walking with their two kids plus one in their belly

n the community of Santa Bárbara in Huancavelica, Peru, a silent tragedy marked an entire family who left for a sports championship and never arrived.

What was supposed to be a day of football and hugs ended up as a scene of mourning, discovered more than 24 hours later by shepherds… and their dogs.

The accident occurred on the Huancavelica – Santa Bárbara route, exactly in the Ccuwi Ccarana sector, where a minivan with license plate W4E-442 ended up skidding approximately 100 meters (although witnesses claim it was almost 300) until falling into an abyss with no signs or witnesses.

The vehicle was only found when some animals began wandering around the area, attracting the attention of the community members.

Inside the vehicle the lifeless bodies of four people were found: Luis Osorio Pari (34), his wife Ninfa Pari de la Cruz (27) – who, according to preliminary reports, was pregnant – and their two children: a 9-year-old girl (EUP) and a little boy of just 2 years old (DOP).

They all made up the Osorio Pari family, who had left early for Pallccapampa to attend a sports championship.

The most painful part: no one noticed the accident at the time. There were no witnesses, no calls for help. Only the silence from above and the sudden absence of the four at their destination.

Friends and family tried unsuccessfully to contact him throughout the day. At first, they thought Luis, who worked as an informal driver between Huancavelica and Lircay, was simply busy. But as night fell and they received no response, their concern began to turn into anguish.

On Monday, more than 24 hours after the accident, some shepherds in the area notified the authorities.

According to reports, some sheepdogs were the first to approach the scene and literally
“smell” the tragedy. The vehicle, with the bodies inside, was in a hidden spot, partially covered by weeds.

Huancavelica authorities immediately arrived at the scene to remove the bodies and begin the investigation.

Police are investigating whether the accident was caused by excessive speed, mechanical failure, or some other road condition, which in many sections leaves much to be desired.

Neighbors and family members are demanding improved signage along that route and greater vehicle control. ” Several people have already left on that road, and until something serious happens, no one reacts ,” said one local resident.
